I bought my Mac around 2021, I think, and I have never really gotten used to it, at least not in the way I'm used to a PC.
You see, I'm not that old, but I also am. I'm 34 years old, but I'm also 75. I'm pretty tech-savvy, but only in my domain. I can do all sorts of cool automations and use advanced technology, I understand how things work, but I can't figure out Discord or TikTok.
Heck, without Z, I wouldn't even know I had a TG account.
I always had this problem with Mac, that I wouldn't get notifications. Not on Skype, not on Slack, and not even on WhatsApp, which is why people often get mad at me for not responding to messages in a timely manner.
Anyway, a few days ago I needed to update my WhatsApp because it stopped working, and it turned out that I couldn't update it because my OS was too old. I was still using macOS 12 when 15 was available. The update didn't work, so I had to call support.
The lady tried to send me a remote control request, but the requests didn't come through. At some point, she asked me if my Mac was set to "Do not Disturb", and I had no idea, so she directed me to the "moon" icon I had at the top of the screen.
It turns out I was on Do Not Disturb mode for 4 years, and that's why I never got messages on time!!!
