Feature The Star System Explained

For so long... for so very long... many of you have asked have requested that I add a star feature in.

Well, since I own this forum, it became a priority for me to add in a star system

Now, it's not perfect, but thanks to a plugin suggestion from @Rem, I've managed to add stars to user profiles.

These stars display in the profile box of your posts as well, so you can show off how many you've earned.

How Are Stars Awarded?
Stars are awarded through a badge system that counts the number of trophy points you have and awards with you with a star. For more information on how trophies are awarded, view this guide here.

• The first star is awarded at 10 trophy points.
• The second star is awarded at 20 trophy points.
• The third star is awarded at 30 trophy points.
• The fourth star is awarded at 40 trophy points.
• The fifth star is awarded at 50 trophy points.
• The sixth star is awarded at 60 trophy points.
• The seventh star is awarded at 80 trophy points.
• The eighth star is awarded at 100 trophy points.

You get trophy points simply by performing various actions on the forum. If you're going for more stars, it's best to review what actions earn you trophy points by reviewing our trophies page.

This is meant to be a long-term goal, so I made the last two stars harder to get.

Over time, we'll be adding in more trophies with what I will simply refer to as very interesting criteria, giving you more chances to earn stars on your profile.

On the contrary, since this is a community first and a marketplace second, so we expect traders to engage on the forum and be part of the community before submitting a sales listing. This is why the star system is used for the upgrade; to prevent someone from just aging up an account and spamming "welcome" in introductory threads to reach a specific post count.

If someone wanted to, they could easily get 2 stars in a day. All that's required is simply posting a bit on the forum, filling out your profile, and using the various features here.

If anything, from my discussions with @Rem, @unususalsubtance, and the various staff members; it's far too easy to get 2 stars. I got that on a few test accounts I made without even trying. It's why we'll be bumping it up to 4 stars over time.

lol, the fact I can get 2 stars while having less post than you shows that 2 star is just too easy to reach
