Robots race in Chinese half marathon

Robots ran alongside humans at the Yizhuang half marathon in Beijing on Saturday.

Twenty-one humanoid robots, designed by Chinese manufacturers, raced next to thousands of runners completing the 21km (13-mile) course.

The winner was Tiangong Ultra, which crossed the line in two hours, 40 minutes and 42 seconds.

Some robots completed the race, while others struggled from the beginning. One robot fell at the starting line and lay flat for several minutes before getting up and taking off.

The race had been billed as the world's first robot half marathon.

Q : Are the Robot taking over the world? 🤔

This is crazy scary. If this is what they can do already, i wouldn't be surprised if they will be used in wars as well.

Yes, but what if they come up next with some flying robots or robots running at high speed or something 😉
I'd remind them about how nice I've always been to robots in the hopes that they'll spare me.

They are already testing robots for military use. This is definitely something they will do in the future.

Our worlds are joined as one

I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars:

We are here. We are waiting (on OO) :D

But, I Guess.. The future wars are not going to be used of weapons or bombs.. Instead some Deadly Virus, Nuclear weapons, or any such chemical things gonna be used.

Yea, they were building these robotics to use in the military as well.

Looks like Robot dressed police Uniform to take pictures..

If it's true, then That's gonna be expensive and ultimately fruitless endeavor.

couldn't find a vid of the robot actually moving
but supposedly it can ._.

Scariest and coolest robot i ever seen.. ! Watch this robot - like a human walk, run, crawl. Imao

For the moment they cost a lot so it's not gonna be mass produced...yet. But there will be a "DeepSeek" alike company producing them with a fraction of costs, then it would be very interesting

This is reminding me of some concept videos of an all-terrain rideable robot thing I saw a little while ago:

Maybe in the future we'll all be riding robot horses, lol
