This is an update that's in-progress.
Essentially, what I'm doing with the TOS page is re-organising it in the following format:
Here's an example of one of the updated rules:
It's a little harder to simplify them down on a forum, but I figured the effort is worth it.
Edit: Some colour has been added to the titles and subtitles on the TOS. I'm tired of looking at colourless TOS pages.
Essentially, what I'm doing with the TOS page is re-organising it in the following format:
- Rule name
- Explanation (of the rule)
- Moderation action (what's done when the rule is violated).
Here's an example of one of the updated rules:
This is being done for 3 reasons1.1 Age Restriction
Explanation: Members must be 18 years of age or older to have an account on Office Outlaw. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Moderation Action: Members who are younger than 18 years of age will be automatically prohibited from joining Office Outlaw. Should it be discovered by our staff that a member younger than this threshold entered a false age, the member may be removed by our staff from the platform.
- Nobody likes reading Legalese garbage on TOS pages.
- Members can know exactly what the rule.
- Moderators and members can know exactly what happens when anyone violates the rule.
It's a little harder to simplify them down on a forum, but I figured the effort is worth it.
