Eheheh, happens to me on a regular basis. Cats, squirrels, birds walking on the fence like this. I'm eating breakfast and stray cat is staring at me . Once cat came to a balcony and meowed, really wanted to get inside. My lease doesn't allow that, though.

That's sad but personally, I love cats so much. Like I remember one from my Uni days in 2018. I used to be trolled as guys used to say "Its your only pussy." and whatnot. But I just want another cat that can purr and make me smile again like that. Missing you catbro/ catsis.

Cats will often just to go other peoples houses and meow just to get food etc, they are buggers like that.

You could put a bowl of water down see if it takes any and offer food that's up to you, unless there is loads of stray cats in your area its just looking for some company while owner is out I think.

If you offer food, it'll settle in your house. Stray cats multiply quickly and take control of the area. Stray dogs usually leave if you offer food and roam around but stray cats eat and sleep. So, it's better to let it find some other house unless you want to keep it as a pet.

It won't settle will take weeks for the cat to build trust will want to come and go.

Nothing wrong with offering food and water if its needed.
