Update Weather Warning: Cloudy Upgrades Imminent with Blue Skies ahead

Just a quick heads-up that we’re making a few behind-the-scenes upgrades over the next 24 hours to help make Office Outlaw faster, safer and better all round.

We’ll be implementing Cloudflare today to give it an added layer of protection and performance boosts and all round resilience.

What does that mean for you?
Slight chance of temporary weirdness - there might be a few minutes here and there where the site throws a wobbly, but nothing huge.

You may see a “DNS not found” or “SSL error” briefly while the new setup kicks in. If that happens, don’t panic: grab a snack and try again in a bit.

No posts or accounts will be lost. Everything stays intact.

Why are we doing this?

• To shield the site from downtime
• To speed things up and make browsing smoother
• To lay the groundwork for more fun upgrades down the road.

The full transition usually takes anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, though depending on your internet provider and location, it could take up to 24 hours to fully propagate. We’ll keep things as smooth as possible.

I would only get it at most once a day, the first time i log in/open it

One time time I couldn't sleep so I counted stupid bumps in the proxy section, but other than that I really can't understand what people found there.

The settings we have on CloudFlare won't be that aggressive, but let us know if you're getting that at all in this thread.

You really shouldn't be getting a manual challenge 5 times an hour - that sounds incredibly strict. If you do get that here, flag it up and I'll look at why you're being targetted and make sure we resolve it.

The whole idea behind cloudflare and the optimisation work is that you get a better experience using the forum, not worse!

eta: I'm glad to see the new set up has officially passed the Rem stress test. Now all we need is someone to run a script that mashes F5 while spinning in a chair whispering "optimise me daddy"..
