Hi all!

I have a question. So let's say I use a site and they updated the TOS to something I don't agree with what do I do if I don't want to accept it?

I know the easy answer is to just stop using the website or don't accept the TOS but the problem I have is that there are business DMs I want to save from there and I can't access any of that unless I accept the TOS first.

What should I do?

A site is allowed to bar access your access if you don't accept their ToS.

There's quite literally nothing else you can do.
I guess you're right that a site can just bar access for that reason yea.
I think everyone here can guess which site you're talking about.

If you really don't want to use that site then just accept the TOS, save the info you need to and then request to have your account deleted there.

Accepting the TOS literally means jack same as it does on every other website.
I can try to do that and then ask for my account to get deleted. I just wasn't sure if it was bad to accept the TOS when I didn't agree with it and just want copies of my DMs.

It's a TOS on a fucking website it's got nothing to do with morality or bad or good.

Do what YOU have to do and stop worrying about what some shithead company thinks of you.

It is really a stupid way to get people to accept the TOS, without first warning about it first.

Anyway you can either accept it and connect with your clients, or nudge them to another place for contact through other means. No idea what you provide as a service, but you don't have emails ?

It is bad. Even logged out they have a big grey banner on every page about new 3.15 rule. It takes up a lot of screen on desktop and mobile it's very aggressive.

Yes I have email I just tried using DM for business because admins there said it was the right way to do that. Now I see it was a mistake to do that.

I will follow @shattered world advice and just accept TOS and move other customers over to email.
