The internet service provider Bahnhof has been sentenced in two cases in a short period of time to block a number of websites with illegal content. At the same time, the company reveals that the rights holders behind the cases have also signed an industry agreement with several Swedish operators to jointly work for new legislation that will make future blocking easier. Bahnhof does not sign that part of the agreement and is now publishing the agreement and the judgments openly.
On June 16, 2026, the Patent and Market Court ruled that Bahnhof must block a number of websites with illegal live sports, following a lawsuit from the Premier League. Several other operators were ordered to block around thirty domains within three weeks.
On June 26, another ruling came against Bahnhof, following a lawsuit from Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal and Svensk Filmindustri, to also block a large number of film sites.
In parallel, the rights holders, represented by the law firm Synch Law, have signed an industry agreement with Swedish operators to cooperate on legislation that makes blocking easier. According to Bahnhof, all other major operators signed, while Bahnhof declined.
Bahnhof customers who try to reach a blocked address are now met with the landing page blokkat-av-upphovsmaffian.se , where the company explains the background to the block and strongly advises against bypassing it via DNS change or VPN.
The sites covered by the blocking are: The Pirate Bay, Nyafilmer, FMovies, HydraHD, Cineby, KissKH, Flixmomo/Flixbaba, HiMovies, P-Stream, Hurawatch, BuffStreams, Fawanews, FCLM, Footybite, Gamestrend, LibrefutbolTV, Livesports088, LiveTV, Ovogoal, Socceronline, Sportsbay, Streambtw, Streamed, Telewebion, TheTVApp, Totalsportek, TotalsportekFree, Vipbox, Vipleague, Viprow, Watchsports, Wearechecking, Yalla1shoot, Yallalive.
This is a fun way of resistens, make a block site and tell customers how to NOT change their settings so they could access the blocked sites, I just love Bahnhof, I use them as an ISP myself.
