What’s Your Struggle Meal?

Haha this thread brings back council estate memories... I'll not get into "sugar sammiches" and how they were a "luxury" at one point in my childhood, and don't get me started on "brown" or "red" sauce sammiches.

These days I actually feel as if no one really cooks anything anymore, whether it's an easy micowave munch or a full blown sunday feast. I very rarely see cooking these days, even the sunday feasts are ordered from a take away these days... smh

Microwaved hotdogs
KD (Kraft Mac & Cheese)
Spoonful of peanutbutter out of the jar
Butter and jam on saltines
Cheese Whiz/peanutbutter on saltines
Cheese Whiz/peanutbutter on bread
Perogies are cheap as fuck and are great in an air fryer
Grilled cheese

For me nothing yet, i love food anything anytime to eat. My husband yesterday said me, whenever you go just want to eat something. It's not like have a patience.. I said for food i don't have patience and where we go just for food not to watch people. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

For anyone unfamiliar with the term, a struggle meal is that chaotic masterpiece you throw together when the money is low, your fridge is basically just condiments and vibes, and you absolutely refuse to go to the grocery store.
I'll start: Mine is buttered noodles with shredded cheese and a good amount of black pepper. Sometimes I'll also add some garlic.

Your turn: What’s your signature struggle meal? Need some inspiration asap.
This is one of my go-to quick and easy dishes, "Spaghetti aglio e olio". Though I'll typically use olive oil instead of butter, and always garlic for me (sometimes fresh, sometimes dry depending of level of laziness). Bit of red pepper and basil as well.

I cook everything.

I've not owned a microwave for 16 years which everyone I tell thinks is insane but it's true!

Same. Misses and I enjoy cooking together and rarely use a microwave for anything. We've built up quite a wide range of meals over the years throughout our travels that we like to cook at home.

Is a cold slice of pizza for breakfast classed as a struggle meal?

That is insane but a good insane.. there is like 2 meals I know how to “cook” on the rare occasion that I do, even then though I’m using the likes of ready made sauces etc from a jar so some people tell me it doesn’t count as full on cooking, I tell them they’re lucky I’m even cooking!

Thailand made the likelihood of me cooking even less, the delivery services in terms of choice out there is unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it.
