I have a BIG offline marketing campaign on the go at the moment. I've sank a year of my time and lots of money into it.

Back story:

We hired an external person to go and create a marketing list (offline mail marketing) list of companies similar to what we have worked with previously to go and reach out to. Now my internal person was very specific on the type of companies we wanted to reach out to and despite paying good money (this wasn't a $50 list off fiver) the results where less than "great" nothing really matched up.

Don't get me wrong some gems here and there but I don't think the person really understood what we wanted so I thought id give GPT a go. I've found this works best if you can actually give it a company or two you have worked with and you can use marketing material as a case study (which is exactly what we are doing) again this falls back to how you market and communicate with that company anyway IF they already know of them competitor or friend or just someone in the industry you have a foot in and some kind of 'social proof'

I'm sure you can edit it for your own needs and maybe some already do this anyway but here goes:

Code:
We have recently had a lot of success partner and working with <company name> (URL) a <company type> and <company name> a <company type similar to the other> (URL)

Please provide me in a table similar companies to these we can target and use our previous success with them previous mentioned companies as a reason to contact or case study to include when reaching out.

In the table please provide

- The company name
- website URL
- If they fit either of my examples or not
- Company address
- Best contact person if known

So working example:

Code:
We have recently had a lot of success partner and working with RAC (www.rac.co.uk) a car recovery company and Halfords a they have garages and a shop that sells car accessories (www.halfords.co.uk)

Please provide me in a table similar companies to these we can target and use our previous success with them previous mentioned companies as a reason to contact or case study to include when reaching out.

In the table please provide

- The company name
- website URL
- If they fit either of my examples or not
- Company address
- Best contact person if known

some output

So what's the point? Well many people still buy lists to find companies and searching can be hit or miss. Using a person who may not be from the same country from you can also provide some 'interesting' results no doubt the same as GPT this was just a little quick way of using it as a VA todo some very quick research for you to contact similar companies you have worked with previously.

Making it somewhat more likely these will be easier to target some examples:

  • Leverage Case Studies: Utilize your successful partnerships with RAC and Halfords as case studies to demonstrate the value you can bring to similar organizations.
  • Tailored Outreach: Craft personalized proposals highlighting how our offerings align with each company's services and customer base.
  • Collaborative Campaigns: Propose joint marketing initiatives, such as co-branded content or exclusive offers, to engage their audiences effectively.

Nothing really new here, it's basic on the surface but what you can do with it and how you can improve that search and results is on you ;) The example I provided was also very broad it really does help if you have a service or a provider you have partnered or worked with previously to help bolster up the results.

Best of luck.

How did I miss this gem of a share

Seems like your making it to this weeks newsletter again

I'll test it as soon as I have some free time.
