When the office wants you to be available outside working hours

It rarely happen that you will give time outside working hours but if they looking for all time than you have make balance and have to say NO.

When I was an employee I always made sure that I'm appreciated for my performance rather than for my availability.
This allowed me to sometimes not be available during work hours because my managers and team always knew I can be trusted with tasks and was on top of things.

Some places won't let you say no. Actually many places won't let you say no. Take it from me.
When I was working in logistics, we couldn't leave before the work was done for the day, but it was paid (+25%) but honestly it sucks that companies expect employees to stay for overwork regularly.

Also threatened with termination etc.

That’s exactly how it is.

Those threats are always the worst. They make you feel like you have to start looking for another job.
