I've used PC's less powerful than mine and can say that anything above $2k is stupid unless your PC is doing a hundred things while you're doing things

Mine has even gone down in value, I could only imagine the machines you could put together these days same price

Yeah, I used to do that in the past, actually. Most expensive gaming pc available + most expensive music card and speakers. Shit broke all the time, unstable af... And nothing worked since I was on linux and drivers weren't available yet on newest hardware. So I started buying refurbished enterprise Dells, Lenovos, etc. These are pricey af new but cheap when refurb. Honestly sometimes I wish I had new enterprise Dell... If I had unlimited funds, lol. But not sure if it might be too new and stuff wouldn't work properly with linux still. Ahhh I like looking at fancy pc builds 😭. I personally wouldn't buy non-enterprise hardware ever again, it's overpriced for the lack of stability (I mean hardware itself, even if you're not on linux and don't have driver issues).

My most expensive gaming thing was a Playstation 4 my psycho dad took and sold to pay my fine I had at that time.

My most expensive PC I had to sell to pay rent. It did cost me about $1000. I didn't know I qualified for disability at that time.

Then I bought a laptop for $1300 years later after post-covid inflation.

Next thing will be either Playstation 5 or $1000 PC.

Now you know my life story. Thanks for listening.

Am I the only one that thinks £9k labour costs to build a £3k computer is insane? I'd probably just buy something from overclockers at that point.

Yeah it is but wasn't it a 100% bespoke case though?

Theres a super niche market for that at the moment.

I'm sure that's what I read someplace.. Could be wrong.
