I’ve noticed I’m using Ahrefs and SEMrush less and less over the past year, and I’m honestly starting to question whether SEMrush is still worth keeping.

I’d lose a couple of things if I cancel but even with that, the cost is getting harder to justify. Especially now it seems there are so many tools AI tools that are much cheaper but accomplish more.

My biggest issue is data accuracy. A lot of the estimates from these SEO platforms don’t even come close to reality in many cases. And bad data is worse than no data at all; bad data leads to confident but wrong conclusions, which is far more dangerous than knowing you might be missing something.

So I’m not sure anymore whether the subscription still makes sense. Anyone else in the same boat?

In simple terms Ahrefs or Semrush are still useful but more and more A.I or cheaper tools or even LTd can do the same or better in some cases the biggest advantage of Ahrefs or Semrush is the big data.

I can get account of Ahrefs starter for like £23 that does most of what I need I only need to check ahrefs like at most once a day so me paying £69 or £99 or more does not make sense for me many people cancelled Ahrefs biggest packages like 2 years ago over the big increases in prices.

Still using Semrush to this day. Ahrefs is just not it anymore.
