When a user changes their username, any quotes that existed before the name don't get updated. That's why you can still see his old username.

I wonder why you guys weren't allowed make changes like this with the other forum, off-page and technical SEO would have been affected?

I think, that was default function of xenoforo..

That one is a default of Xenforo.

To answer your question though, I had very limited administrative permissions my whole time there, but that was one of the reasons; that forum has a lot of what I can only describe spaghetti code, so little changes could easily mess up the functionality.

The other reason is because everything was bureaucratic starting in 2020; making any changes required going through a very long process of multiple long discussions, logs, and some other stuff I'd rather not get into.
