Old Employer Is Trying To Ruin New Job? What To Do?
So things have been going well at the new job. I largely moved on from the old place and the shitty two faced CEO. But then I got told by my new manager that she just wanted to give me a heads up but my old employer called and said that they'd be better off firing me and hiring someone more...
I took some of your advice and tried talking to the old CEO for the millionth time. I even tried apologizing even though I did nothing wrong.
He sent me a meeting link and started getting REALLY weird with me.
After my apology he was just like "Hey hey Frankie.... you're going to be good from now on. Right?"
OK so WTF? He never called me this before??? I don't go by Frankie???? Why am I getting a pet name now?
But good from now on? I didn't know what he was talking about so I just asked him what he meant. He just said "You won't be trying to cause me anymore issues, will you Frankie?"
He just kept being vague. I think he was trying to be threatening but came across as a weirdo.
I don't know what weird stuff he thinks I'm doing but I literally left that job behind me. He's the one who is trying to ruin my new job?
I just don't feel good about this. I knew it was a bad idea but I went along with it anyway like an idiot. I told you guys he's crazy and you can't reason with crazy!
But idk tbh it doesn't seem like he can do much so I'm just going to let him stew in whatever fantasy he's cooked up where I'm being bad to him or something? He just gave me the willies it was so weird.
