No strings attached. Someone drops $10k in your lap and says "Start something online. Make it work."

What’s your move?

Something with a market and real big money possibilities. Not disclosing here though.

Start a marketing agency and buy 9K worth of guitars 🎸🎸🎸

simple, straightforward one feature SaaS

What would you have done differently if you had $10k to begin with?
I would've paid for better web hosting well in advance. I've been with the current host for years now and I always paid them a few years in advance since they've been reliable up until recently. For this forum though, there are better hosts I would've preferred to work with, but they're either time or cost prohibitive; sometimes both.

Other than that, I'm sure there were other areas I could've invested in at the beginning as well. I would've also loved to have been able to pay all of the moderators just a little something up front as a thank you.

Ecom.

Id forget about the dropshipping nonsense and all that and instead either focus on creating a value add product or buy something in bulk and split it into smaller bundles and sell.

Before people ask for examples:

Off the top of my head two things:

1.

Buy small tins (like the old tobacco tins) put some small screwdriver, a cleaning cloth and some spare screws.

Place s sticker on it.

Sell it as a glasses repair kit or whatever. You could do the same with making an emergency fire lighting kit for camping etc

It's just about bringing tat or shit together and bundle it into a value add that people want.

2.

Id buy things in bulk that people need and then sell them off in bundles.

Take UK houses and storage is getting smaller, buy up 2-5kg of nails and then sell them in small bundles that people need. Not many home owners need 500g of nails but having 10-30 for a small job people pay a premium for it.

That's the kind of thing I would do anyway, if it was me starting over.

This would probably still work.

Do some decent research into what can sell on Ebay,Amazon or other places you can sell easy without a website you can make one later on.

Pick something which many people want so you got a high demand already setup for next see how cheap you can get it for example if everyone selling it for say £50 and you can only sell it for say £75 then probably not work well but if you can get down to say £50 then selling should be semi easy to do it online.

Switch 2 is example of something popular at the moment so if you had say 10 you could probably sell them easy.

Make your bedroom or wherever you sell as organized as possible

I am going to guess most countrys have similar sort of shop Poundland it sells very cheap stuff but quality pretty decent you can use to package products as long as not big sized should fit in the packages. You can also fairly easy keep a few boxes from amazon or other firms you buy of then use that to package your products I sometimes do that so hardly ever buying product boxes .
