I can't find the catch and it makes me paranoid

I think its trying to be the Mac version of linux OS. I could be wrong. There are paid and free versions. It's been around since 2009 from what little research I done.

I've not installed it myself but I did see it promoted else where and thought id share here considering been some talks about Linux and Windows before in other threads.

Well its linux distribution built on top of Ubuntu which considering thats how most servers function I think it's proven.

It just has a more "normal" interface.
