Dogs are special creatures, I really believe that... so much points to them being unique. I don't think the "mans best friend" label is wrong, it's spot on. I miss my dogs... if I didn't travel so much I'd take on another for sure, losing a dog is like losing a family member, people that know will know.

I had a dog when I was a child, my parents brought her a few months before I was born and we had a very special connection. I was broken when she dies and never had a dog since.

My wife had a dog when we met, a Shih Tzu. The ugliest stupidest creature in the entire world (what else would you expect from a dog that has 'shit' in their name?) Couldn't stand this pile of stink.
He died a few months ago, at 16, 3 years after my wife started saying: "he'll die any month now, he's already 13".

I have a Shih Tzu, named Candy at first I didn’t want a dog but my wife convinced me. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

That dog gives me so much love and is so attached to me it’s amazing. That little dog has shown me what true love is.

You guys might think I’m crazy but if I could give a couple years from my life, so she can live longer I would happily do it, that’s how deep our bond has gotten over the years.

Agreed any dog cat size. Get a cat.

I had two springers Ollie and Tegan. Both now crossed rainbow bridge earlier this year both hit grand old age of 15.5

No plans to have any other dogs currently. Although I did see a cracking looking red show cocker spaniel BUT £2000-3000 on a dog nahhh not for me id never take it of the lead and Id be scared of shooting it when hunting.

No I love all the breeds just have special place for Spaniels as when I was a kid a friend of mine used to own one

I feel sorry for the loss man
