So what’s the shortest domain in characters that you own?

I’ll start. The shortest one I have is 9 characters. Yeah I didn’t exactly hit the lotto there lol

Sold it and currently own a 2 letter domain (not .com) for a new project i'm working on.
i had tons of 3 letter domains but sold it to a friend for $300 each a3b.com who created unqiue boxes under these domains for his high end customers.

i coworked with the owner of 1000webhost which was one of the biggest freehosts in the US and the owner one of the biggest adult player in the US.
I managed his european traffic for 50% of the generated profit.
I was a representant of nocreditcards (company from spain) for eastern europe for premium numbers if you even know how this worked back in the days.
Coworked with the biggest east european phone companies.
My Mentor one of the biggest adult webmaster in europe who trained a lot of people and created a private network.
Bongartz the creator of Moneybooker/Skrill even started from his garage.
Many todays major payment gateway owners in europe coworked back in the day with me or the network i was in.

About domains i started heavily investing in them when i was 18 where you could get nearly every domain you have wished.
A big mistake i made at that time i bought english word premium domains for european countries as there was my focus and sadly learned that domestic words were way more popular in the beginning and because of that way more valuable.
At that time you had to pay $60 per domain / year

Not everyone was/is a small peasant with no history

I don't question if somebody was early or not.

And you are right 1997 which was easy as hell to make money via internet if you knew what to do is starting in another niche within the next months.
Smart people already positioned themself.

And as for the domain xxx yes i owned it till i sold it arround 2000 to Yan .
i owned also domains like sexcam.de , ebiz.de/pl/fr ,tool , lolitas, xxx.de/pl/fr/com , fuck , financial , freeporno etc .
It was arround 500 domains where i invested arround 100k DM together with 2 other friends.

no in early 2000 it was 1000webhost .000webhost is from hostinger.
1000 webhost closed doors long time ago as traffic could not be converted anymore.
