Describe SEO

Describe SEO process without saying word SEO or search engine optimization.

Thanks

My version: website reputation building with websites owners.
My version: overcomplicated content delivery

ranking a website online using links, content and standard page coding practises

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of improving your website's technical structure, content relevance, and link authority so that search engines like Google naturally display your pages as a top result for user queries.

Lazy I know, but here is the source: https://www.semrush.com/blog/what-is-seo/

I could read about SEO for years and never executing it. Well, ranking sites for affiliate marketing is probably a lot harder than ranking sites with own products.

SEO is kind of overkill in many cases.
But paid ads are way worse than SEO.
SEO can be done with time and good resources. Paid ads are weird.

Praying to the Google algorithms to not class me as YMYL so I can rank highly and get a crumb of dopamine seeing me show up above multi billion pounds corporations.

Add some shit at the bottom of your site like "this isn't professional advice"... Some disclaimers in couple places of your website. Google is intelligent. I bet it'd understand.

No worries about big corporations. Search traffic isn't really their source of leads and revenue, so they don't care about SEO and it's easy to outrank them.

Your only competition are sites of your size and type.

How many links?

I bet for most sites 100 links from 100 domains will be okay.

One link costs something like $10 a month, so $1000 a month for 100 links.

This is a different discussion considering you asked to describe SEO without using the words that make up SEO..

You don't need links to rank. You can rank with out them.

Change the way you deal with SEO.

think of it as multiple rings.

Start with the large outer ring or circle with all the "low quality" stuff no one wants to rank for any site can hit them. Once you hit all of that you work your way in a level and you keep chipping away till you built up natural authority and can go after everything thats laser focused within the middle.

The best thing about this is if your an ecom site or something that needs money off a customer (book, course etc) is you can pick up all the qualified customers / clients along the way while you zero in on broader market.
