Describe SEO

This is a different discussion considering you asked to describe SEO without using the words that make up SEO..

You don't need links to rank. You can rank with out them.

Change the way you deal with SEO.

think of it as multiple rings.

Start with the large outer ring or circle with all the "low quality" stuff no one wants to rank for any site can hit them. Once you hit all of that you work your way in a level and you keep chipping away till you built up natural authority and can go after everything thats laser focused within the middle.

The best thing about this is if your an ecom site or something that needs money off a customer (book, course etc) is you can pick up all the qualified customers / clients along the way while you zero in on broader market.
Do you mean websites with broad coverage of topics are enough?

I feel like people don't understand what good content really means and this is where they fail.

But it's hard to outrank something that has 1000 links and has tons of content.

It's 2026 though. I think Google has figured out how to give traffic to everyone trying.

Nah

All topics have something you can branch out into, cross market, expand upon.

Problem is people are lazy THAT and combine it with a niche you know little about it's hard to do just that.

Thing is you shouldn't be taking a new site to hit or run after all the bigger sites with 1000s of links that's going to be the downfall to start with.

I know everything under the sun about adult things and mods for games. I'm a computer gamer, so I understand a bit about it

I lost this gaming passion later as I started comparing myself to my peers. And then I fell into the worst workaholic trap - providing services my brain hates like engineering and doing shit on linux.

Well, I'm going back to my passions like modding games or building funny websites.

Since I'm done with trying to become software engineer, I have a lot of free time to build websites... It doesn't feel rigid and it doesn't have this feeling of slavery.

Ok so what type of games do you mod or just games in general?

I'm not modding games myself. Just use someone's software.

Mods are already available on the internet. I can just reupload.

I've been doing that on YouTube. It works as long as you're not too greedy.

No worries.

There are 1000s of terms in gaming mods.

There's 1000s of terms for anything.

That wasn't the point I was going to make I was going explain how id go about building a ranking pattern from the outside in and then finding cross examples into other areas as I possible wrongly assumed you could only cross reference other things if the topic was broad rather than specific.

So I can setup each site with 1000s of articles.

But so does everyone else, its a churn and burn effort, doesn't work and people moan and complain later.

Nothing wrong with 1000s of articles if you build out the structure correctly to start with rather than just building an article for every term like its 1990 and trying to rank for something with 200k search potential off the bat is a waste of time.

It's a niche monetized via ad revenue.

So traffic.

This isn't e-commerce or selling farmers tools.

What's that got to do with it? You think ecommerce sites dont rank or the same principles don't apply?

You still need to understand how to get content in front of readers. It's not all products that's just the tip.

I'm pretty sure what I do to go about ranking our content hub and product pages can be passed on and used on any website.

I'm just looking into Google SEO because I'm annoyed with sourcing accounts plus content for YouTube.
Yes and I tried to give a chance and offer an olive branch to help formulate a plan with you. No matter
It's easier to buy a domain, plug in AI agent and... test what works best.

It's not really obvious because money invested in links could be saved.

I'm not planning to build one site anyways. One site is enough. It can be taken down with DMCA complaints

Got it figured. Good luck. 🫡

It's basically convincing the internet that your website is the cool kid everyone should hang out with.
