This is what I want popping up on the sides of my screen causing an interferance while I cry over things that do work but don't

Hmm isn’t that one from an old update? Wordpress isn’t something I know about it as well but I think I remember seeing this exact thing when I had a site built for me before.

I'm sure I've seen something like it before, could just be my eyes spotting things they've seen before after a break

Are you talking about the field API update with WordPress 6.9

If so, ACF (what you want) and the field API have completely varied use cases.

If the license of ACF Pro is your concern, you can use SCF which is a fork of ACF Pro by WordPress itself.

In 2024, there was a lot of drama between WP Engine (the hosting company and also the company that owns ACF) and Matt from WordPress

Matt then forked the ACF plugin and called it SCF

It's got almost all features of ACF Pro and is free.

Unfortunately I do use SCF and was present for that, adds to the fact I'm a scumbag

I wonder if you're on to something I've been missing for nearly 4 years here? The way post types and posts are stored differently in databases? There might be a separate route I haven't looked into for field api vs rest api

The plot thickens, you've always made me think

@Reanimated is a pal and three quarters for you

I thought I had seen this before like some of the other users said.
