These were usually use in patients with diabetes. However just like how they bumped into viagra accidentally while trying to invent a heart medicine. They are now doing this for non-diabiatic patients to reduce weight.

They say it takes ideally 16-18 months to reduce 25-30 kgs. Costs roughly 120-140 USD per injection. So over the 18 months the bill will run to around 3500 USD - 5000 USD for the total period.

Has anyone tried or know any one who tried it?

Looks very interesting. But am worried about the actual side-effects in the long-term

Nah... You don't learn self control there are 1000s of people on it around me. One warehouse worker and he comes off and puts weight back on in months.

He's on it for life. It's a short cut. He has zero self control...

Theres others in my local watering hole that can't cope without it. It's a new drug. It's the crack for fat people.

Just have will power. The jab is for lazy of you ask me.

My opinion not meant to offend.

Fast or carnivore diet learn self control.

It's not always about the old school eat less and exercise. I think that's a myth really works for some and not all.

I can lose weight and get small but my natural size makes me look odd so I focus on the weight lifting to suit my natural frame.

I'm large because of that but that's fine.

I fast. I eat clean nothing processed. I can outlift and out run most people but if you go off bullshit bmi Im obesse!

Jabbing urgh.

If you going to do it fine. I get it. The ones who do it and don't admit get my goat.

I am not a heavy eater honestly.

I reduced weight natural back in 2017. I was super fit. I went cycling 1-2 hours everyday even during slight rains or i did some workout if I had to be indoors because of the weather. I was super disciplined. Woke at 5 AM and I was in my first retail store at 8 AM and then go home for lunch and head to the other one. Did work until 8 PM. Sleep at 9:30 PM then again wake up. I was super fit and happy. Cyclathon etc.

COVID lockdown came. Started experimenting with online things and found success within a few months, decided to handover the offline business to my brother. With online work it was just most indoors. Lazy to step out. But I keep working, order in late. I actually stopped coke/pepsi for many years. I now consume coke/Pepsi almost 300 ML per day

Slowly i started to increase weight. Am now at 90 KGs from 65 KGs.

Now when I look back at myself it sort of triggers me be to a lazy fat pig and also an experience humbling because I used to be judgmental those day especially to those who couldn't take care of their weight and health.

I have a mini gym at my office. I have already stepup an indoor cycle, treadmill and an elliptical and a shower on the top floor. Plan on adding a 2 seater sauna in the bath area in a couple months. I plan to start doing these religiously. The weather isn't good outside plus too much of pollution so I don't plan on outdoor cycling.

So i thought i give myself a small headstart and then start my indoor workout regime. Also play tennis on Quest 3.

I was thinking I start 1-2 months medical course with a jab along with a workout. Then go with the flow. But i keep reading about these meds being a permanent thing which is worrisome.

My aim is to drop 25 kgs in 16-24 months. All i need to do is start kicking my butt to man up and get back to the workout routine

Ok so why do you need the meds to start now?

Just start?

You still getting up 5am?

As I've gotten older I get up earlier and earlier I wake about 3-4am and have an hour becuase it's the only time I actually get to myself. No family no work. Just me.

I then run and hit gym at 5 till 545 then shower and 6 I get going for work..
Some times it's earlier sometimes it's later.

Depends when I go to bed to be honest.

What's honestly stopping you now?

You got the gym. 25kg in 16-24 months is doable with a good diet and exercise.

Some of that will be replaced with muscle.

On a carnivore you could do 26kg in 9month I think jabs would be less. It just stops you eating.

Doesn't change your relationship with food etc.

I stopped eating meat few years ago. Before I reduced weights the first time.

These days I sleep at 4-5 AM and get up at 12 noon.

More productive around this time. My office is about 3.5 KMs I drive there and back. No other activities. Get up at 12 noon, head to work at 2-3 PM after lunch head back home at 2 AM. Some days I work from home.

My plan is to get to day shift. Without the withdrawal and then take it from there.

That jab would have been the instant push I needed. But I will try delaying that and experiment with cardio in the evening at work. I eat a lot of veggies, not much of oily stuff or processed food and limited crabs for Indian standards. But i love cheese and chocolates. Will have to cut down on that

I think you just need to start.

What's that saying 2 weeks for people to notice 3 weeks for you to feel a difference.

It takes 3 weeks to build a habit and 1 day to break it.

I think start and sooner you do better you will be.

That 3. 5km get office shower and start to run it ;)

You can get every shot you want but if you keep consuming food like a garbage can it will not help.
100% spot on

I have a friend that used Ozempic, in his case it was a matter of going the easy way .. he went from 130KG to around 85-90KG with it and seems to stay at that point now.

Loosing weight fast without training is going to give you a lot of extra skin hanging around .. so if you got the will, start training instead and eat healthy normal portions instead, like veggies for lunch if you are doing dinner later.

The father's having a great time with it

medically induced weight gain to begin with, he's turned his life around since weight loss began really

100% bro that's what I keep seeing too.

Basically just a subscription to look gaunt lol.

My sister got these white pineapple ayurvedic pills in Sri Lanka when we arrived and it really helped, she lost some weight. But we went to another region and didn't have access to these pills anymore so she couldn't finish the treatment. Idk if these bromelain pills that are available everywhere would do the same thing or not, maybe white pineapple is a gimmick or maybe the variety actually makes a difference idk. But she got fat from some internal reason, she was and is eating less than me and I'm not fat. She doesn't overeat at all.

Yeah, he's obviously eating trash so I'm afraid it'd cause some sort of eating disorder cycle - eating crap, injection, crap again, etc 😬. It's these damn sweets ugh, if he stops eating them, perhaps without exercise even, he'll loose weight.

@indianmojojojo Damn COVID, it was so stressful, a lot of people started eating weird and gained weight. Tbh I also started eating sweets even though I ate 0 before (like fuckin none), started drinking Cola again, started drinking coffee again, started eating meat again. In my case it's not bad since I was thin so now I'm actually happy that I'm medium sized, I wanted to gain weight for a while now, I just do some calistenics and it goes into muscle lol. But I'm worried about health risks from Cola and sweets, especially since I have immune problems and sensitivities, it'd be better to not put all this crap into myself. I have access to good, healthy yet caloric food too and I eat that as well, I should focus on that only and ditch these damn sweets (or at least limit) so I get that it's hard 😭. Once you start eating this crap it's the end 😭. First time around when I stopped eating sweets altogether I remember I was just limiting them to once a week and best/favourite sweets only (instead of every random average thing) and I think staying at this level can work really well but once I got to this I eventually lost the urge to eat any sweets at all, it was so weird. But when you munch at some daily or even multiple times a week it's the end, you're just going to look for more and more 🙄. Also these damn sugary drinks omg. It's hard not to in this hot weather, though. Honestly I think you gain weight fastest with liquid calories, actually?? Since you don't even have to bite into that to get it into your body.

You might be knowing Karan Johar that's what he took

But there are side effects there was also a rumour of a substitute found but not sure about it

Quite a lot of people have reported side effects from taking that if you want to lose weight workout more like I do or eat healthy

I read a few reports saying they going to ban it for the side effects it gives people.

The farts should be a crime for one

Probably. I just always find people ideas to lose weight often stupid and don't fix anything it's kind of like smoker saying I am going to stop smoking so I will start vaping and the vap he takes is more unhealthy than the actual standard cigarettes so he would be in theory healthy, just to keep smoking.

You'll end up putting the weight back on because you didn't learned how to control your appetite and weight with knowledge, mental discipline and physical effort without it.

That being said, unless someone has a problem relationship with overreating, especially junk food, and are very overweight to begin with, they'll probably be dissappointed with the results anyway. They're essentially just appetite suppressants, not 'magical' (and very dangerous) fat burners.

Those things are soooo fucking bad for you... seen the side effects of these shots in a few girls I know that tried them, they should be avoided!

How does that compare to the cost and time of liposuction?

Don't get any injections or medicine. The 'miracle' weight-loss pills will fuck your hormones (like Ozempic).

Just eat high volume low calory food and it's easy. I'm myself at the moment doing a longer cutting phase.
3 months cut at 500 calory deficiency, dropped to 15% bf --> then 2 week maintenance to reset metabolism and hormone levels --> 1 month cutting phase at 400 calory deficiency to drop to 12% bf.

Keep your cutting phases' weight loss at a maximum of 0.6% body weight/week. Keep your cuts at 3 months max. If you want to do back-to-back cut phases, do at least 1 month maintenance in-between.

E.g.
3 month cut --> 1 month maintenance --> 3 month cut --> 1 month maintenance.

Workout 4x a week with high intensity during the cuts.
2-2.5 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight during cuts. Fats at a strict minimum of 60g daily. If you don't get enough fats daily, your hormone levels will get fucked.

Also, prolonged cuts will lower your testosterone, and if not done correctly, your testosterone levels will never return back to normal.

So,
no miracle drugs,
keep fats at a min. of 60g,
very high protein intake,
no prolonged cuts,
maintenance phases between cuts to reset hormone and metabolism levels.

Once you get to like 15% bodyfat, you should just go into a very long maintenance phase (6-12 months) to hard reset hormones, and do a body recomp (lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, Google it) at the same time.

Get yourself a Ninja Creami and a shitton of good tasting protein powders. Helps with not relapsing as you can eat a pint of ice cream every single day. Just do milk and protein powder + xantham gum.

Then start eating cucumber salads. 300-400 grams of cucumber, some red onions raw, protein, sriracha, whatever. You can eat like 1kg of food for like 500-600 cals - keeps you really full during cuts.

If you can spare like 4-500€/month, I can refer you to an amazing personal coach who'll get you shredded in two years.
