What are some of the best books you have read that have helped you in your personal/marketing journey?

I personally want to develop this habit of reading books because till now I have just been a book gatherer lol

It can be any spiritual or sales or marketing related or personal development

I read a ferret book really inspired me about ferrets.

I read a book about Singhs was a great read.

No need to add ferrets to majority of your conversations
It was not a joke did read ferret book and book about the Guru from India.

I find Indian history very interesting such as I want to learn more the idea that Tamil people meant have traded with some ancient people or some belief first people to use boats to transport goods around the world before vikings

I even done in high school Indian history I got pretty high grade for it .

I study stuff about India all the time. I can really understand most Indian languages at least okay.

I know the shipping containers were invented by Indian man.

The book I most often come back to is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I connected to it instantly from my teen years and I read it dozens of times.
A big part of it is the way I imagine the characters and areas he describes.

Also read the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit. The Silmarilion didn't resonate with me as much, most likely because of a poor translation to Hebrew, and I really don't think my English is good enough for the original version.

My top 3 so far are:

$100m Leads and Offers By Alex Hormozi.

And Influence by dr robert cialdini.

Honestly though I spent a few years just reading and feeling like I was progressing towards a goal.

But in reality I was mentally masturbating.

Reading feels like work.

But if you just keep reading and not doing the actions then it's a waste of time.

Spent 3 years reading tonnes of business and marketing books yet getting nowhere.

Would recommend those three and take action.

I usually read Spiritual Books, Yogas , Mediation, etc..

This book is recommended by many influential people such as Steve Jobs who read it once every year ever since he read this book, this book also inspired his journey to India where he discovered the Ashram of his guru Neem Karoli Baba, a mystic who lead to his transformation into what Steve Jobs later was known for. Apart from Steve Jobs, Virat Kohli the famous Indian Cricketer as well as Rajnikant the famous Indian Movie Star also had this book in their most favourite Book ever read.

The book is the Life Journey of this mystic Paramhansa Yoganda, his life experience, how he came into the spiritual path, the miracles he had seen happening during his learning days from his Gurus and so on.Alot of things written in the book may sound unrealistic to most of the people of our generation however one must know the fact that life 150 years ago was much more simpler and organic as well as when one is in the Spiritual path everything around him or her may appear to be a miracle and only spiritual souls can encounter miracles.Nothing much I would like to talk about this because this is one of those books which you should read and find out for yourself also please don't judge this book by reading just 15 pages of it!! Read the entire book and than come to a conclusion.

Lol, I have this one downloaded, read some of it, not whole, I think. It was a while ago, kinda forgot now. Generally I read weird stuff, as weird as this or weirder. 🤦🏻

I don't read fiction really, but I used to like Lem's Star Diaries. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Star_Diaries

While I'm not a particularly religious or spiritual person, I have found the writings of the 'Tao Te Ching' to offer some helpful and interesting philosophical viewpoints on how to find balance and harmony in your personal and business life. It's an ancient classical Chinese text purportedly written around 4th century BC by Laozi (different accounts on their true nature) and the basis for modern Taoism, so there have been many translations and interpretations over the centuries. Dry reading the texts on it's own, even in your own language, may be a bit challenging but there are some good YouTube videos out there that give great interpretations on the core concepts and fundamentals of the philosophical teachings. It wasn't until much later on in history a lot of the religious aspects of Taoism got attributed to the writings, which personally I ignore.

Sapiens (must read)
Laws of Human Nature (this was written to understand other people, but i ended up understanding myself better)
