Are we doing updates here? If so start a mega thread and any future threads on the subject merged with this one maybe?

Figure as this place grows, these will become more regular topics for posting? Just thinking to keep it all tidy rather than have 50,000 posts on the topic.

Anyhow

June update rolling out. I can't work out IF we have been hit (as there is a decline in search console) OR if that's just normal time of the year traffic. Either way not exactly worried at the moment anyway.

How's your June compared to May this year? Different that 2024?

June '25 is up on May '25

June '24 vs June '25 we are up 45.45%

May '24 vs May '25 we are up 50.5%

THERE is a dip in search end of June / Start of July but I'm thinking this is just down to the weather UK been having.

If you take google trends for example and look at our main KW it's a flop in popularity. People rather be out having a BBQ or in the beach. So my theory is our decline in search and clicks etc is down to what users are doing vs hit by google update.

Normally, June is quiet for us, but finished up 70% higher vs the previous year (in terms of sales)

Good idea, I've stuck this thread to the top of the SEO section and I'll add it to the newsletter going out later this month.

I think I was hit. These updates keep fucking up my sites and I'm sick of Google's rollercoaster of shit updates because they don't know how to deal with AI. Fuckers.

We have had a few of my client's suppressed bad gov links back on page #1 and some on top 3 in page #1. They were pushed past page 5 and some deindexed prior to the update

These were basically old gov links like caselaw, other related ones.

So it's been chaotic especially some while handover or completion.

Google never fails to suprise especially before I go on a vacation:D
