I like to take note of any strategies used in ads, even ads I'm not interested in like this M3GAN one.
In this particular ad, I noticed they put "tix" instead of tickets. This is now the third time I've seen a movie advertise itself and use the word "tix".
Personally, I've never met anyone who used "tix" instead of tickets.
I looked into a bit and found out that "Tix" was a now-removed currency in Roblox, so I'm guessing some corporate advertisers saw this and thought it was just some widespread slang the kids use for movie tickets.
I also asked ChatGPT, and this is what it had to say:
I don't know about you, but these ads really give off "How do you do, fellow kids" vibes.
