Corporate life hate club | What’s the real reason

So... real talk here.. why do YOU people really hate the corporate life?
Like, is it the meetings-that-could-have-been-emails? The never-ending "synergy" talk? The "wages", the "Slavery" or... are there some truly legit reasons behind the hate?

Why? why not, I can still work, why not. Most of these "corporate jobs" 9-5 job is really a 1-2 hr a day job. Why wouldn't i get a bag from that.

anyways.. im genuinely curious... what is it that makes people actually hate corporate life so much.. a job is a job.. you need a job...you need money... right?

It's many different things, to be honest. The meetings that could be emails. The fake "we all have the same goal, are a family, or wanna do our very best" despite not helping or not knowing what the people who are essential to the company's actual success are actually doing.

To label all of it with one descriptor, it's the bullshit.

HR has turned everything inside the corporate landscape into helpless PG rated bullshit.

I'm all for having some decorum in an office setting, but for lack of better phrasing, they need to sack up.

I hate the fact it's treated like a zero sum game but that's more of a general capitalist problem I think.

Other than that, really I think it works on a case by case basis and is more down to the particular people you're working with than anything.

Consdering it's where i'd be spending most of my working life, if we're ralking ideals, I'd rather take 10k less and take a mortgage for a slightly smaller house and work for a company with proper communication, professional conduct and a postive, cohesive and supportive team least of all so that I have a clear enough mind to do my job properly - what i'm being paid for, rather than earn a little more but work in some cesspit where everyone is at each others throats, sabotaging or piggybacking off each other work and where no communication means people constantly blame each other and where people would rather skive than actually work and do what they're being paid to

But what happens when you build a business? Don't you fall into this same trap?

I understand the argument on meetings can be emails. However humans are thick as shit and there's always the excuse that an email is missed.

Also sometimes it's just good to talk with people rather than fire out emails.

Totally agree on HR.. well more of the health and safety bullshit side of it myself lol

Just to be devils advocate are you still not a student? So do you have any experience of the above?

Also the capitalist problem is a flawed argument when using a IM forum. Without it you would not be here...

I have had three different jobs since turning 17 but the above was more of an idealistic view if given such choices once I do graduate and assuming a few business ideas I have don't take off

I absolutely wouldn't you're right. But what are the existing alternatives that isn't some other extreme, like socialism?

Define socialism, do you think that is equal to communism, if not, why is for example democratic socialism bad and extreme?

Mixed economies,

If you need an example, that's the UK and clearly it works here

Although id argue it's probably closer to socialism than it's been previously.

Because it makes lazy people lazier, and hard working people poorer

I feel that there's nothing wrong with Capitalism in principle, but I was thinking more about how it's implemented on a global scale in modern day - as a plutocracy in which money talks and democracy is a mere facade.

NBFIs, essentially shadow banks, represent almost 80% of the world GDP in a system designed to produce and self-expand capital and yet most people, organisations and even entire nations around the world collectively don't even see a fraction of that wealth. Instead they are left squabbling for scraps in a zero-sum game

But it pays your free education, and gives everyone regardless a fair chance .. not just the silver spoon punk kids.

I get your point but even living in a country with a liberal democracy that has been accused of having socialist tendencies, people still strive to get their kids in to private schools and benefits from private healthcare - because the quality of public services is generally quite poor and see's some people gain benefits unfairly over others, not equally.

For example you work nights paying taxes hence other peoples welfare, and suddenly need a doctors appointment which works on a first come first save basis, you don't get one because you overslept and those people with no job who's welfare you're labouring for and who are on their fourth doctors this month hoarding healthcare service beat you to the phones. Tough luck. Where is the equality?

Another big point here are people constantly misusing rights they get from some minor disability. I know someone who has worked for twenty years as a VIP chauffeur with a flat foot had no problem earning all that money but the moment here retired suddenly decided his foot was a serious problem and demanded all kinds of benefits from better parking to access to vehicles at the states expense. Which just takes away care and resources from any people with serious disabilities that genuinely need it.

System doesn't work to a considerable extent here. Maybe it does work better where you are.

Well, if you think everyone would be able to pay their own costs and if they can`t they should live in tents in the woods and eat berries with fish you might wanna move to US after your school is done.

Being poor is not equal to being a criminal, criminals and scammers are on another level than plain poor or sick people. Welfare can also lift people up, not having to struggle and see the light of the end in the bad fckn tunnel they are in at the moment.

I would agree plenty of decent poorer people all around the world

Not sure what point you're trying to respond to here but in fact, if anything, i'm inclined to agree. But I said, in a nutshell that it's a system that can and is easily misused, both legally and ethically against the poorest and most in need. Which is ironically it in to the opposite of one promising equality. The problem is rampant misuse.

Who even suggested poor people are a 'problem'? 🙄

Well, then it is a flaw in the system, not that all welfare people are lazy as it sounded when you wrote it.

A working socialism system is good, not evil, bashing down on socialism just sounds uneducated.

I kind of think the same.

The biggest problem we got in all politics is the people in it now not so much the system for political types such as democratic or socialism or something else?

Yeah, both poor and rich. I wouldn't wear poverty as a badge of honour, however... Tons of evil, poor people with no positive qualities out there. Surely saw some here recently, lol. Rich one as well. You know, people here basically making fun of homeless person (he's supposed to magically get a kitchen right next to the bench he's sleeping on??) then at the same time making fun of successful person that appeared in the news (as silly as the article was... She also thought the news site was being silly, she was actually humble, no reason to humble her). Like... Both bullying a person in need AND being jealous of and cruel towards a successful person. + Stellar example of cowardice (being unfit for service / disabled is a real reason to not join armed forces but finding silly excuses while pretending that 'you'd join *if*' is just fuckin lame... Just say that you don't want to join the army, what's your fuckin problem liar). Oh and Dopious basically being a passport bro and thinking all slavic women are poor and cheap whores. Now THAT'S classist and nationalist. Someone's out of your league - you shouldn't approach. But you think you're the king of the world because you're swedish... Not so. Never asked me for permission even, he just decided one day that he wants a polish girlfriend and sent me a demanding dm like this, didn't even ask me if I want or not like my opinion doesn't matter. Never gave him any permission and he just wouldn't piss off so I had to block 🫤. Nobody ever asked me if I feel intimidated or disgusted by someone so much older trying to make advances towards me. He thinks he's better than me because he's swedish and I can't say no, my consent is unimportant. And there's tons of people like these everywhere: ugly, broke, dumb, self entitled, nationalist, lying, with no virtues whatsoever but they'll claim they're nice guys (or go with 'poor good person' - come on, you can be poor evil monster too).

Dude WTF, I have NEVER made any suggestions about you being my Polish girl WTF, if you are talking about me being fucking NICE to you last year upgrading your account at BHW the same as I upgraded Nathan at the same time DUDE did you think I wanted Nathan to ramming my ass as the prime Irish male he is .. get over yourself .. I was being NICE to a couple of members, you really are a psycho if you ever thought I wanted your skinny ass.

Don`t fucking spread lies, Both Rem and Gogol was very much aware of me using money I made on BHW to upgrade a few members and buying signature spaces to let the money go back to the community.

Get over yourself, no one wants your sorry ass - This is some next level of crazy shit going on in your head.

But the scraps and zero-sum game as you call it is exactly why capitalism works. Anyone can work and make a change and go out and earn money. Yes it's hard work. But as that saying goes if it was easy everyone would do it.

No matter the world of the society you live in there will always be those who have and those who have not. THERE will always be someone better off, and someone wanting that thing. Then you start the whole cycle over.

All of the above now I had chance to read it.

Problem is governments and bloat. Taxes are all miss managed. There will always be someone to game the system as long as there is a system in place. That's just not welfare or the system it's with everything. Look at SEO. Look at Poker. Where there are rules and requirements people will find a short cut.

It's all we do.

As for welfare on a whole personally we should just draw a line under it. If you become a burden to society then off you go. But that's just me. That's exactly the same reason I will never be able to get into politics either, I'm maybe too extreme but give me a decade as supreme global overload and things will be better.
