Don't you have regular burnouts? I am in the middle of deciding to quit my 9-5 to fully dedicate myself on what I have been quietly building on the side.
Handling both at the level where you feel satisfied with the amount of work you put in every day, is just draining.
I do have burnouts, not regular tho
my burnouts is more usually always tied to
shitty management, or just pure shit supervisor
I do also have days when I just dont feel like doing my job either.
Which, going to be clear, I just don't.
I have positioned myself or rather organized myself in a position where, i never miss deadlines because some days I just don't want to work.
I'm usually always ahead.
But that's only stuff assigned, ADHOC or fire drills ain't included and if for some unfortunate reason, those do drop on my lap while its a day I feel like shit
I just end up feeling even more shit while i work away.
Either way, luckily, those feelings typically are tied to bad management in general more so than the work involved itself.
I do push back alot on work, espically when its "useless", "waste of time" or just "dumb" in general.
In my current company, feedbacks are very well received, and at least in my dept, they do encourage it.
So things I tend to work on, are things I enjoy doing, dont mind doing or things that does actually benefit the company
