I am planning to join a gym nearby and wanted to ask if anyone here consumes creatine?

Is it important to drink 3-4 lts of water in daily intake after taking it ?

Also, what changes have you noticed after taking it regularly?

Used to not so much now.

On drinking 3-4ltr...find our what you can drink. If you drink 4ltr you can drown.. Depends how you spread it and drink it.

My limit for water intake over a course of a day 12-14hrs is 3ltrs via water (I drink 3 x 1ltr water bottles)

2 wasn't enough. If I go to 3.5 I feel bloated and horrible so just take on board everyone has a intake limit.

I am also seeing the cons with many people complain about hair loss as it increases DHT...did you face any such issues?

I hear it has cognitive benefits as well

You don`t need to go to the gym to take creatine, it has more benefits that your mental state benefits from. If you want to know what benefits, do a search.

Nope.

Took about 2 weeks for my bowl movements to adapt to it kind from becoming a human muck spreader to shooting rocks.

Settled down after 2 weeks.

People say they pee or urinating more but I've found that's down to people gulping water.

Join public gym? I tried, but it's not my thing.

Creatine? Well, just sometimes. I didn't notice any benefits. I prefer my medication from psychiatrist and caffeine.

Even d3 and magnesium give me more. Hell, even ltheanine.

I like the idea of life hacking more. I just take my doors off hinges and lift them couple times. Easy training.
Apart from joking...

I can do gym at home with dumbells and doing things my way. This is NOT recommended at all to anyone. Just my thing. ;)

Some things you won't be able to do in private gym, but there will be things you'll not be able to get at public gym - freedom, doing exercise whenever you want...

I have thought about this but what about the weight for the legs?

Here only being a Jugaadu can help. I can't give a clear answer yet.

I go for repetition, not lifting like 200 kg on my back. The general trend is to lift as much as possible, but I don't follow it. I want to rather optimize for consistency than records.

If I want to lift heavy, I can go to gym 1 time a week or even less.

ltheanine
Don't get me started on that crap.

What is it supposed to do? What's its benefit?

I Don't see the point in exercising as an adult.to lift for the sake of lifting or run for the ability to run more? To what end? Whhhhyyyyyyy
I know most of you guys don't agree with that.

Creatine won't do much unless you're lifting very heavy weights. And won't do anything for body recomp, in fact, it will encourage your body to hold more water weight giving you a bloated look. Not a fan of supplements but it is one of the few supplements I think that basically does what it says - help you lift very heavy weights. Albeit not by very much, might help push out that second rep a bit better.

Maybe lift for aesthetics and have an alternative to talking walks and going to public pools. Extra nervous system stimulus. Although you can't do it like a pro because you'll burn yourself.

It's not just about doing it for the sake of doing it, but its proven that just running or lifting weight can help reduce stress.

I'm not trying to become a long distance runner. I naturally find myself having a tense or tight lower jaw and it's a common thing that relates to high stress, if I dont train or become active for a day or two I swear I could chew my way through steel.

I'm not "naturally" slim either. So I find exercising can let me eat and drink what I want.

I'm still a big lad or a bear as @Dopious calls me. But thats the weight lifter in me.

I’ve taken creatine before lifting weights or running.

I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a difference between taking it and not taking it.
What's the point of exercising?
Let's lift heavy things and then put them back.

Brilliant.
Repetition trains your body to use your muscles more efficiently.

Although, I’m not a fan of just lifting the same old weights every day, which is why when I’m not up for that, I’ll just do yard work or go out into the desert area and throw some big rocks around. You know, something I enjoy doing.

It’s also why I focus more on flexibility training. The required strength needed to show your nervous system that new ranges are safe keeps your body balanced. At least, that’s been my experience.

Dopamine is for sissies.
I used to be in great shape. Ran 60km/week did all sort of stupid stuff all day long for years.
Never liked it. And the relief I get from knowing I don't need to do it again...

You sound like an addict.

But why? What's the point? That's what I never got. I can master speed-counting so O can count super efficiently but why would I? Same for running.

In all seriousness you either feel it or you don't. There's no specific reason... unless they are competitive athletes, people that look for one as the means to an end of sorts are usually the ones that quit.
