Journey to Make a Triple AAA Game...

C++
but Python is fine too
Honestly, should of went with Godot instead of Unity since Unity is C# while Godot is a variant of Python
but Unity just seems alot more well fleshed out than Godot
i actually thought you were a mua blogging

that's some big boy stuff

You given your self a time line on this then?

Are you just building out systems and mechanics at the moment? Do you have a story line or idea on the type of game its going to be? genre etc?

Is it a twist on anything out there currently?

Building systems
no storyline in place
haven't fully decided on the genre but for this one at the very least, possible a mix of idle & roguelite
Probably won't even be an MMO, maybe co-op? at most. We'll have to see.
so, it be mostly focused on PVE
Is it a twist on anything out there currently?
im at the very least using this very first as a prototype to build & fund an mmorpg later... possibly

As for twist.
Here some examples so far
So far, I have built in 3 unique stats
(i have 2 more planned for later)
You have core basic standard stats
like ATK DEF etc
however, you can sacrifice or convert those basic stats into different unique stats.
Which can change the gameplay totally.
For example, yon trade in def to get shield (which triggers before HP)
1 shield is not 1 hp

You can trade in Crit Chance for Crit doge (why?)
In most games, tanks, usually get shitted on for basically no customization. You got Def/armor you got HP, and depending on the game, maybe elemental resistance or resistance of some sort.
That's it really. Most gear will favor towards high crit builds and DEF/amor never really helps because the crit damage % multiple is just much much higher than what you can get DEF/ARMOR at.
So why not, let them turn Crit chance into dodge and crit dmg into crit def.

This first one is going push towards seeing how socially acceptable people are towards builds & theory crafting.
Instead of just going straight to meta-only builds.
Like if you see Albion, you see there alot of theory crafting when it started, but soon after, it's just meta.
I absolutely dislike games that push for meta-gameplay only.

Play how you want to play it, and going attempt to design it with this philosophy.

Having chugged along as far as I wanted.
Just been busy doing something else since then and had to put a hold on this.
But did made some progress.
