💰Payments PayPal Let's You Accept Crypto Now

I got an e-mail from PayPal today about this.

I went to PayPal to check it out.

I didn't manage to get a screenshot of the next page, but I just agreed and they're reviewing my PayPal account. I don't know what the eligibility requirement for this is, but it said to check back in a couple of days.

I'll post updates here if anyone is curious about the process.

Yeah, it's still only for US merchants, but they accept global buyers.

I thought they accepted crypto for a while, but either I was reading something made up or I don’t know. But to be honest, I don’t think I’d keep any of my crypto in PayPal, especially since they have a really weird account policy and sometimes withhold funds.

Great, fees are at least 7.5% I presume and conversion rate 10% worse than anywhere else.

Edit: Ah, US only. No matter, I can't believe anyone still uses this with Revolut around. Paypal stock tells the whole story. 85% down since July 2021, new lows in February. Dead crap.

Yeah, PayPal's fees are ridiculously high.
