Well, my thread title is as clear as the notice I received when trying to send karma to someone. Took me a minute to remember the tax, and I doubt the average user is even aware of it.

It was added to discourage others from accumulating karma on one account and distributing it to alts.

That's not happened yet, it's just something we considered.
