As you picked them.Well... He raised some valid points about the millions and billions being spent on AI, but he never provided numbers on how much revenue AI companies are actually generating. Im not sure about the figures, but according to this source (https://explodingtopics.com/blog/chatgpt-users#chatgpt-subscriptions-and-revenue), ChatGPT makes about $2.7 billion annually, with forecasts projecting it to reach $4 billion.
Rather than only focusing on the spending side, he could have offered a stronger argument by including a cost-versus-revenue analysis for different AI companies.
But I completely agree that many companies are simply slapping the term “AI” onto their business to create hype and drive sales. That doesnt necessarily mean we are in an AI bubble.
...that's the whole point of the video, if you listen to the end. The technology itself is real (as is/was internet during dot com bubble) but it's crazily overhyped. Once the bubble bursts what is actually real will remain. And that is *some* innovation but not as much as it's hyped out to be.Plus he clearly used AI in some parts of the video that means AI is here to stay![]()
Hey man would be boring as fuck if we all agreed. Just don't be like @TheVigilante and celebrate my dogs death that takes it a bit too far.We agree to disagree!![]()
celebrate my dogs death
Y2K, then dot com bubble.Well, the dot com era crashed but has never been stronger than today, learn from history.
It won't it's 100% here.AI will come and go
Said anyone who worked in a factory since the dawn of the industrial revolutionMachines can help you but can't do everything.
True, it helps but can't do everything. If we say machines can do all the things, there's no need of human skills or knowledge so it' can't be replaceable.@payal23j my reply is about factory workers never thought they would be replaced by machines or robots on assembly lines and that to a degree is exactly what has happened, as the need to cut overheads and growing profits it's easier to replace a worker with something that can do your job quicker, faster, without breaks and in most cases 1 machine can replace 10 or more people requiring only 1-2 people to maintain it.
So saying machines can help but can't do everything, our own history since the dawn of industrial revolution has proven otherwise...
