Jake here!

I was thinking about deepseek vs ChatGPT. I used ChatGPT sometimes for questions but haven’t gotten around to trying out deepseek so I don’t know if it’s better.

to be fair i like both of them. deepseek does a way better job of coding and fixing broken coding but chatgpt is more natural sounding. so deepseek for coding and chatgpt for article generating lol

+1 ChatGPT cannot keep up with DeepSeek in terms of coding.

ChatGPT but I hate that it checks the previous chats to answer questions.
So gotta remember to ask it to not check previous convo every day.

Yes I am that type of person that opens a new chat daily with it, even when asking about a continuation of previously asked questions 😆

ChatGPT.

But to be honest I've been using Grok quite a lot.

+1 , Voted for ChatGPT

Interesting that in this poll chatgpt was tied with deepseek.... until I voted for chatgpt. :)

Looks like I'm the tie breaker. I think I'll be buying a tie breaking tie for the office tomorrow.

like china, tools are helping me be bold

deepseek doesn't care too much about ethics or terms of service

chatgpt for work, deepseek for brainstorming and set-up

Both are great, but I use perplexity. There is a lot of criticism surrounding perplexity, but I honestly love it.

(x) both
chatgpt is my wife, but sometimes I cheat her 😈

I’ve tried both Deepseek and ChatGPT; it depends on what you're looking for. ChatGPT (especially the GPT-4 version) is great for general use, creativity, code help, and understanding context over long conversations. It’s super reliable and widely used.

I've seen that Deepseek is more tailored toward code generation and technical tasks. It’s still evolving, but some prefer it for specific development workflows.

As a free alternative, ChatGPT especially GPT-4 is more accurate, creative, and polished, while DeepSeek is good for coding and basic tasks.
