Is there any such thing as job security anymore ?

@SilverClouds have you thought about trying to create a generic package all coded up template wise for ads, landing pages and funnels and then sell that on say fiver as a ready to "edit" or "code" package for a couple of quid?

Then you can build in upsells from there for you to manage those pages etc

I can't remember if its marketing or what you do exactly but if you could spend a few days building something up, list and sell it as some kind of kit where you get an email to upsell your services to later might be worth it? Built it once and let it do it's thing then go back and focus on your outreach and so on?

I was on Fiverr couple years ago and done couple gigs literally and gave up, lead quality there is worse than pl Facebook groups. Which also has questionable leads but imo better than Fiverr and BHW HAF both (unless you're a scammer on BHW, heard these are happy there 😂). No, I'm doing something in completely different niche, not marketing and in the future other niche also but that 2nd thing is a bit too hard for me now, need to do the first one to practice some things that'll be necessary to know for 2nd one. If I do 2nd one first I won't be able to get it right I think.

As far as marketing goes I'm not interested in Fiverr, Upwork, BHW, OO even. I'd like to know where tf big agencies or even software houses get their clients, what's the difference between them that they have these bigger clients (or sometimes the same ones I have but they suck them out of money and they come to fb groups once they don't have any anymore) and a team and me that I have these small fuckers that I don't even want to deal with and show up at my own pseudo business 😂.

Do you mean the high 4 figure low 5 figure places?

It's nothing but networking events more than anything. Once you land one referrals come off and then you need to press and push advertising that you just completed a job for this client.

These bigger companies dont do outreach or cold calling they network. Thats where you need to go, cards in hand, meet people get your name out and build up from there. All the bigger agencies I know around by me all started lift giving local talks at meet up events, then you see them at the same networking events, just talking, sharing what they know and making connections.

It's pretty old school but it works and thats how these companies work. They want to spend money with people they can meet and touch no one does it they all rely on email. If you can get out and meet them you got a better chance than all the others around you.

Its a slow numbers game.

At those kind of events you often find people with businesses you never even thought of but with high budgets all needing a specific service.

You can find them on some platforms as well but you need to work on your pitch constantly everything needs to be unique to the person(s) your hitting no copy and paste job.

Which is why I was looking into 'more civilized' places too like Kuala Lumpur or Singapore from there as well, maybe it'd be possible to spend some time in a year there, not necessarily relocate, to get better networking opportunities. Need other income during this time though hence I do other things. 🤷🏻 Idk maybe there are other places on my way that I could network in.

Yeah I know it's tough with your location issues. It wasn't a dig.

The only other thing you could try from a digital point is to use AI to start to look into businesses of a certain size.

Then use that information to plug into a project and then have AI use that while doing deep research into pain points that are mentioned by decision makers on places like LinkedIn on whatever service you want to provide.

Then have it pull out topics or any a table of common issues and then start a seo framework so you have like minded decision makers go searching and hopefully they come to you.

That's the only way I can think of really.

Getting out and meeting people when you want a certain price point is the best way tho.

Best of luck :)

That's a good idea, AI is very useful for summarizing info and basically doing audits for yourself lol, I research stuff with it all the time, using it to look into what decision makers are up to is actually good I think.

This is pretty spot on. The most successful guys I know, mostly out in China, across many different industries e.g PCB manufacturing, elevator production, rapid prototyping, clothing, software development, etc (some of them are doing mid 8 figures with hundreds of employees)... spend practically nothing on Internet advertising or outreach, often just a simple Wordpress site with a phone number. It's all in-person trade shows, face-to-face networking, and recommendations through word of mouth.

Some of the most lucrative deals I've made in my life were forged over a bottle of whisky and poorly sung karaoke.

It took a year of being on the forum to get this very basic information. But pro 9 to 5 and 'I hate bhw' threads appear every 10s. That's exactly why people request bans. You know, if there were more threads like ggmopa's supplement thread or active marketplace it'd make sense to actually spend time here.

I would say that some jobs are more secure than others, especially those that are not easily replaced by AI, such as welding, plumbing, and handyman work.
