Had this email yesterday and thought id share.

Not seen such an "honest" email in a while, thought was different enough to warrant a share and a little bit different to recall customers, I think they might have it tough for the likes of me who have ordered previously as I just needed a metal splash back the chances of me needing something metal again are long. Still first time I've seen this kind of email, I might pinch it ;)

Don't think they shitting on ads. Least I didn't read or see it thst way.

They just saying the cost to acquire a customer is higher than getting one to come back (which is true when it comes to marketing)

Rather than spending money on ads they offering thst discount or the equivalent of an ad spend to get customers to come back.

Companies do this all the time I just thought the way they admit / own up to it was a bit different.

You took me too seriously :-)

I agree with them, CAC is always higher than unchurning a client. That being said, I wonder what's their definition on churn because it's very hard to determine.

This is nice and the way they add an emotional angle to the discount is brilliant : D

People see discounted offers all the time and still ignore them but this one gives that feeling of help us to help you, so we both win.

Okay... I think I should beta test this approach on my ex first : D

PS: I will update ya... wait for my signal !
