YouTube Targets Mass-Produced Content in Monetisation Update

YouTube is updating its monetisation policies to target mass-produced and repetitive content. Here's you need to know.

  • YouTube is updating monetisation policies to target inauthentic content.
  • This change will impact channels publishing mass-produced and repetitive videos.
  • Violations could result in removal from the YouTube Partner Program.

Is this the start of them stopping faceless videos you think!? Can't let people make money

When I eventually reach YPP I wonder if they'll class my videos as "repetitive content".

It wouldn't bother me anyway since I don't intend to monetise with AdSense.

This seems like a good update though targeting those low effort spam channels.

Bros if you have one of those channels.

Deffo build an email list up at the very least so you have a way that doesn't rely on YouTube to target fans/subscribers.

I think this is targeted towards the clip industry.
Instead of going through adsense route uploaders know they will never be approved, so they earn through other sites. often times they pay more than what adsense would.

Sounds like they’re going after reaction channels as well.
I do not mind ALL reaction channels since they do add value and another perspective.
But these channels are just the worst:

SSSniperwolf - steal content and just gets a light slap on the wrist, 1 month later she is back in the YPP
Asmongold - just watches content made by other creators, most of the time without giving a shoutout, but at least he shows the channel during his livestreams.
Penguinz0 - Charlie was good, but these days he takes the safest route and just doesn't want to get in trouble. Chose to be PC..

Liver prince you have shirts!
Don't be a dick to him! He is acclimatizing!

Do you remember that popular YouTuber back around 2010 who did reaction videos named Ray William Johnson (I think his channel was named =3)?

I used to watch those videos from time to time, but I remember someone edited out the content he was reacting to and just left his bits in, and it really showed how vapid his videos were.

They tend to target youtube automation i think

Will Movie Review Channels Be Affected by YouTube’s New Monetisation Rules?
Cinemasins, those were fun 8 years ago, even 10 years.

Yeah I remember when he was even bigger than Pewds, but I agree that he did not add much information wise and was just for brainrot.
Target as large of and audience.

Same can also be said of onlyjayus and benellect, both canceled 😆

Jayus for stealing and just mouthing what other people said and then having a big mouth than apology then ...?

Benellect or whatever his name is.. he wanted create "content" ☆☆☆ with OF models, basically simping too hard ( that is the story I heard, there are others flying around)
