This is stupidity right here. Basically they’re just gonna ignore your stated age and use their BS AI, which why is everything AI these days when it’s just the same algos they’ve been using rebranded.

What about those of us researching trends for companies that target teens? Guess we’re teenagers now?

They never think about how this impacts their end user.

A lot of terrible updates on yt lately... Automatic ai dubbing is turned on even if you're multingual user, no way to turn this shit off. It translates english content to polish for me without asking! Don't get me wrong, it's good feature when you don't know the language, but they should check if that's the case... Idk how to turn this off, have to change language to english on each video manually . Like, come on, chrome asks if I want to turn this off, then remembers what languages I know and doesn't ask again. Yt is having shit update after shit update, people will get pissed and start switching to alt apps instead of using official apps and these already have premium-like features, then google will wonder why people don't buy premium. Don't get me started on youtube music, already complained about this crap earlier.

These companies tend to be focused more on data than common sense. With this example though, in the unlikely event that they did consider this, they may have just determined that the number of marketers using YouTube for research was insignificant or the whole demographic is irrelevant.

lol and the only way to correct them is by providing your ID. Sounds like an excuse to get people’s IDs if you ask me.

You can also get around it by looking up an image of a person on Google Images and pointing your phone at that.

Seriously a stupid requirement. It’ll only get more strict so work around it while it’s easy.
