At the risk of sounding like an old man who's out of touch with the world, I'm not particularly well-versed in crypto.

However ,since starting this forum, I've begun learning more about cryptocurrency in order to eventually accept it as a payment method for upgrades here.

Now, I knew some things about it and had various cryptocurrencies already, but I had never accepted crypto as a payment nor had I tried using it to buy something until recently.

Accepting Crypto For The First Time
So my first attempt to accept anything was with USDT TRC20, which I believe is something called a "stablecoin" whose value is tied to a fiat currency (in this case, USD).

I'm just going to describe the experience as being odd, but definitely interesting. I was asked for my USDT wallet address, so I sent the one I had for Tron.

But no, no, no; it's not the Tron wallet address I needed nor was it my ERC20 wallet address, but rather my USDT TRC20 wallet address (but I think there was also one for just TRC20?).

So it takes a little while for me to figure this out, and I'm going to blame Ledger Live's set up for that. I sent what seems to be the right address, and the payment was received!

I accepted another transaction after that one as well for the same wallet address, so at least I now have some experience with accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method.

Trying To Buy Something With Crypto For The First Time
So I wanted to buy the new server with crypto as I have enough in there to pay for the servers months in advance. I saw that they accepted TRON TRC20.

I thought, "Hey, I know that one", so I selected that as the invoice option. I'm given the wallet address to send the payment to, so I open up Ledger Live feeling excited to make my first payment.

Disappointment soon hit me when I was greeted with a warning message just before the transaction that said something like, "The SUN doesn't have enough energy! This transaction may cost up to an extra 50TRX".

I looked into this and found out that transactions cost... energy... that you can also rent or something... which sounds like BS. Look, I know there's a reason behind it, but all I could do was make comparisons to end-stage 2020 Angry Birds where after playing for a few levels, the game would stop you from playing with a message like, "Your birds are tired and have no energy, you need to wait 24 hours for them to rest... or you can wake them up with an ENERGY BOOST for 50 Bird Bucks, which you can purchase in the AB store for $5".
I ended up just not buying the server with crypto out of sheer annoyance.

    My Thoughts So Far
I see why crypto still isn't really a mainstream thing that every Joe on the street is using, but I kind of like it so far. It makes me feel like a proper outlaw, if you know what I mean. 🤠

Overall, it's definitely something I'll keep learning more about, I'm just wondering what other sun energy type of things I'll run into.

I dont think search traffic and that is totally dead yet. It will take a generation or two to kill it off. Just like advertising on TV, Print etc while you have social and that. There's always still a generation behind that will keep it alive.

However that said since Apple introduced apps and the first iPhone I've always seen the internet progress towards "apps" so everything is locked behind a gateway I wasn't sure how it was going to happen but with AI. I can see that killing search and you just have apps for shopping etc websites will go away eventually but unless there's a sudden leap I don't think it will be in life time.

As for updates well Google only makes money with ads they want to keep you to earn money last few years has shown how SERPs have changed most results now you have to get past AI, Snippet, People Ask, Ads and Shopping Ads before you even get close to a first result..

I've always treated search as people first and It's taken YEARS but I have to say more recently it's finally paying off. I'll just keep doing that and heading down that route I think should cover me against any update (I hope)

No, with how short the frequency is getting nowadays
you just keep looking forward and pray they dont cut you off by your knees
just think of being in an alpha sandbox
    you are the tester

The not so subtle thickness of it.

I mentioned in another thread that the issue was caused by the adjustment I made to display the view counter in mobile thread lists; it apparently affects the way conversation lists are displayed.

I lacked the knowledge on how to properly do that earlier this month, but I should be able to fix this and keep the view counter on mobile thread lists.

    Give me... 5 minutes.

I'm not very good at reaching out to people, so I don't have much advice in that department.

I'm not bad at reaching out to people, it's one of my favourite task to do.. I'm doing it with my own interest as a Project

When I originally reached out to people last month, I just contacted people using their off-forum contact details on their BHW profiles or sales threads.

No, but I can manually add them for you if you want. They'll show up on the referrals tab on your profile page.

No if they don't wish to signed up with the referral link, then I don't like to add them as manually.. just leave them .. anyhow they joined the community.. but why some people dare to do this.

Nobody should be waiting on admin approval as we've approved everyone who signed up.

    Ss wait..

    Screenshot_20250424-180707~3.jpg

As for people not wanting to join, that's always just their choice. Some people don't want to use a different forum or, in some cases, some people didn't like me specifically. I don't really care as not everybody is going to like me, although I've heard some very strange reasons for it since all this started up, to say the least. I'll share those another time though as they're pretty funny.

    Maybe the account was bought?

Yes, but they are just missing the golden opportunity at their doors..

Yeah , guess account was bought .. 😜
Someone, I don't want to mention his name..

Who wished on farewell post sounds like he likes but not tbh, just realised from his replies..

Some say, they know very well and don't want to be mixed things ,.so staying away.. ufff..

Anyhow.. I'm getting more experience reaching out;).

10+ members said okay, I will join , I will join likely..
    Let's see

I'm glad you asked! There are definitely plans that we have, and I'm sure all of you have noticed I've made comments about this being an opportune time to set this up.

We have a few people working on telling members of the community about this forum through various means, but we also have plans to bring in newer people as well! I especially feel like without "black hat" being mentioned everywhere here (as @Rem said, everyone has a different, and sometimes odd interpretation of this term), more people will be open to joining this forum.

Reddit is one of the places we'll be focusing on as well. Not just the IM-type subReddits, but I believe convincing some of the anti-work people to join here is also worth a shot. It was actually the original niche I had in mind for this forum as a lot of them always discuss ways to get around corporate systems or jobs, and that kind of thinking is the way we operate with Google and IM in general. It's why I'd think they'd gel very well with us.

In the meantime, telling friends, family, customers, etc about this place would help out a lot. We are going for quality over quantity with members, and having the "base" users here being such high quality members is something I feel sets a standard.

Doesnt neccesarily have to do with small habits but I think it somehow fits the topic anyway, its a quote from Naval Ravikant:

Imagine we’re going through something difficult like a breakup, a job loss, a business failure, or a health problem, and our friends are advising us. When we’re advising them, the answer is obvious. It comes to us in a minute, and we tell them exactly, “Oh that girl, get over her, she wasn’t good for you anyway. You’ll be happier. Trust me. You’ll find someone.”

You know the correct answer, but your friend can’t see it, because they’re in the moment of suffering and pain. They’re still wishing reality was different. The problem isn’t reality. The problem is their desire is colliding with reality and preventing them from seeing the truth, no matter how much you say it. The same thing happens when I make decisions.

The more desire I have for something to work out a certain way, the less likely I am to see the truth. Especially in business, if something isn’t going well, I try to acknowledge it publicly and I try to acknowledge it publicly in front of my co-founders and friends and co-workers. Then, I’m not hiding it from anybody else. If I’m not hiding it from anybody, I’m not going to delude myself from what’s actually going on.

Sometimes it’s not the big changes but the tiny, consistent habits that make the biggest difference. Which of these small habits has made a noticeable impact in your life?

    1. Waking up early / consistent sleep schedule

    2. Daily journaling or gratitude practice

    3. 10-minute morning movement/stretch

    4. Drinking more water

    5. Setting daily goals or to-do lists

    6. Meditation or mindfulness

    7. No phone for the first hour after waking

    8. Cleaning for 5-10 minutes daily

    9. Meal prepping / healthier eating

    Anything else?

If your go to habit isn’t listed, share it in the comments! What small change has made a big difference for you and how did you make it stick?

    :alien:

Ps. I actually like the old one better. Ths new one looks like an Alien Texas BBQ restaurant.
Got to say I totally agree. I seen the post about it being a place holder but I actually thought it was cool.

    Sometimes the simplest thing works.

I sort of get the western outlaw red dead redemption vibe once I sat and put some thought into it. Personally it's not for me, sorry.

    hi everyone!

I sometimes run into a issue in my job where some of the accounts i have get blocked on ig. I don't really know how to fix this issue so if anyone can kindly tell me what you do when your accounts get blocked i would be very happy.
Depends a lot how you create it. I would suggest to factory reset the phone and create it whit a phone number and not an email. Use also mobile data, 3g, 4g doesn't matter, but use mobile data and disable the wifi. If you can delete your google account before creating the account even better. Google accounts/ google play active is a big footprint, they are looking at that as well.

After you create the account, you can add an email, verify the email, and delete the phone number if you want.

First day after creation I recommend you profile it: add avatar/ profile image, bio, name and follow 10 recommended accounts, like a few posts, watch a few stories, make 2-3 comments. Second day you can start posting, add stories but do it slowly, gradually.

DON'T change USERNAME in the first day if you didn't liked the one you choose in the creation process. Also, I've observed that they don't allow to change the username in some cases when you create the account and you are given a random one, based on the name you choose. Don't change the username in the first week, and don't add any link to the account. Those 2 activities can banned your account on the spot so don't do it. Wait 1 week then change username if you want and add a link. After you do that, wait 24h before doing any activity: follow, like, story view etc.

After first week you can increase the acitivity, slowly ofc.

So you should avoid buying accounts at all costs.
It comes down a lot where you buy it and how where created. I am a high premium seller account, and I am creating it via real phones with real sims and a lot of hand work, but I do still have some mobile automation in place. I am hitting the right spots and they leave me alone. They change things every month, but I am on it and they don't care that much because I am doing mostly manually work and not crossing the limits.

(As a brag, I am out of stock, most of the time)

I no longer use this as my go-to tool, so please use and abuse this to your own standards. Around 18-24 months ago, before there was any real talk about entities, I started to experiment with this for creating product descriptions that rank and work (to be fair, they still work today,y I've just developed this method further)

You can probably create a python or another script to take the leg work out BUT this does not always go to plan I like the human touch as it lets you vet what is out there.

So when creating product descriptions, which can be hard at times to write something unique, very much so if you are not a writer or you want to game the system a little I turn to AI (think most of us do now?)

I moved away from using generic prompts, and I followed a very unique system - at least I thought it was unique.

I used to provide my competitor's descriptions to ChatGPT as well as the most descriptive or longer descriptions featured on page 1 of google for the search of that product, for me my competitors always ranked 1-5 with the few od balls placed in. Whats good about product results is for my niche authority is less of factor and it comes to what is actually written, I'm not sure how I stumbled upon entties as a topic before but it made sense when I was reading about on it and it felt ahead of the time when everyone was still very much keyword focused so this is what I used to promt with:

You can merge this promt into one if you like - it does work but I like to cherry-pick sometimes so here is my method.

    Code:
find common entities in the following:

    (paste text)

also list what entities repeat the most

The (paste text) used to be my competitor's description or those ranking on page 1 of Google. Keep a line break between them 3-4 good descriptions is all you need. It essentially gives you a list of keywords (old way of thinking) or entities that search uses to figure out what the page is. Sometimes on the older GPT it used to throw out something stupid like "the" probably not the case no more, hence why I used to like asking for a list and id pick what I felt was relevant for that description. Once I go through that I run the following:

    Code:
using the most repeated entities, craft an seo friendly product description for (my product name with no brackets)

That would give me a fairly solid product description that was unique enough [1]

This works better if you already have something writen as you can then ask it to improve your description and merge with it's own description to create something that is focused on the entities while still inserting your own opinion or writing style if you have one.

    Code:
using your description can you combine with mine to improve it?

[1] If you are paying for GPT and can create a project or have a document you can sample before hand to teach it your writing style, tone and how you present content then it really does help to take it up another level there was very little if any content that was created that failed any AI detector. A little twist you can do on this is to feed in reviews of a product also and ask them to take out points that it feels are relevant and write them in and make it sound it like it's coming from you and your writing style.

Maybe a bit dated and different but at the time when I was no longer welcome on the other place this was something I was doing and very much felt I was leading the way to doing something a little bit different.

I've moved well passed this but hopefully helps someone out there needing AI to create product descriptions.

    This is quite huge, actually.
My Bing rep just told me that, as it wasn't announced yet and is still in the early stages of Beta, so, ya know - not really available to the public yet.

This is, by the way, in addition to some of the LinkedIn targeting capabilities that are already available (for all) inside the Bing Ads (sorry, Microsoft Advertising) interface.

It's currently available to US advertisers only, but will soon roll out to Europe and the rest of the world. That being said, the client needs to have US billing address, not the agency, so those of you who serve big US clients can probably get it, too.
