An interesting benchmark where the new EmDash CMS performs unexpectedly slow compared to WordPress.

Thoughts?

This is surprising for you Cloud flare - the biggest internet infrastructure sociopath is slowing things down? No surprise on my end.

Honestly, I could write a conspiracy theory about cloudflare and many people would eat it.

People think I'm joking? I'm not joking..React, Angular and Vue weren't made to make you happy. They're made in a way inviting to make things complicated, to sell more hours to people, it's about business shenanigans. Code as liability, vendor lock and other greed traps. Be careful. Poor kids learn those technologies not understanding they're signing pacts with corporations... Nothing is free, I know it as a seasoned fcker.

That was a nice read, thanks for posting it.

Have you ever actually tried designing or building a site in pure javascript?

Yes, but then I resigned and went with HTML only. I had little CSS. Only few lines. Plus some in-line CSS.

Many images and videos.

JavaScript seems to come from the idea websites need complex UIs. But none of that is true. Proof, Terry Davis. RIP.

I have very controversial views on programming because my peanut sized brain seeks something else than teamwork and making things that are just these bits on flat screen.

Better challenge is HTML + PHP / Python. No frameworks or non-standard libs allowed. ;)

I would never pick up this dirty money from this clusterfucked part of industry called IT that exists for about 100 years. Disgusting.

Now they push Vercel, Cloudflare on kids and other nonsense, but they'll have to play this samsara game... in 10 years they'll kill it all and PHP + HTML will still be king.

They can't be smart enough to come up with well distributed systems that can't be taken down? Well, maybe some Blockchain will help... but I doubt we will ever see it replace anything here. Not in our lifetime

If you do something complex, find different environment than web browser or use videos and images for certain things. But better keep it KISS and live life.
